Paris Hilton & Kim Kardashian
The Beef: Think all the way back to when Paris Hilton topped the reality TV food chain, and Kim Kardashian was basically her servant on The Simple Life. But all of that came to a halt in 2009 when Kim Kardashians sex tape leaked, Keeping Up With the Kardashians premiered, and Kim Kardashian outdid Paris Hilton as the more popular searched name on Google.
After: In several interviews Paris Hilton made negative remarks towards Kim Kardashian, including mentioning that Kim Kardashians butt "reminds [her] of cottage cheese inside a big trash bag." In 2014, The ex-friends have seemed to depart their separate ways for good.
Taylor Swift & Katy Perry
The Beef: From 2009-2011 Katy Perry and Taylor Swift were pretty much two peas in a pod- at least on social media. Taylor Swift would post on twitter things like "@katyperry knows how to throw a birthday party! I would even go as far to say it was party-licious. Best EVER. Happy bday, pretty girl!!" Even though they both dated John Mayer, their drama had nothing to do with ex-boyfriends. In an interview with Rolling Stone in 2014, Taylor Swift voiced "I know people will make it this big girl-fight thing. But I just want people to know it's not about a guy. The beef was purely professional." Here's the bottom line. In 2012, three of Katy Perry's tour dancers signed onto Taylor Swifts Red tour. Then in 2013, they agreed to leave Taylor Swift's tour early to Join Katy Perry's Prism World Tour. Taylor Swift then removed the dancers from her tour, AND unfollowed them on twitter.
After: We can thank this friendship break-up for Taylor Swift's song "Bad Blood." Taylor Swift told Rolling Stone that "[she] would always think, 'Are we friends or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?'" In Taylor Swift's words they are "straight-up enemies."
Miley Cyrus & Demi Lovato
The Beef: This friendship started all the way back with Disney. In 2013 Demi Lovato said in an interview that "Miley has always been one of [her] best friends growing up." But sometime between 2013 and 2014, they became only "acquaintance[s]" according to Lovato.
After: When DemiLovato was asked about Miley Cyrus in 2014 she said "It's life, and people change. I don't have anything in common with her anymore. [But] I wish her the best."
Jennette McCurdy & Ariana Grande
The Beef: According to Jennette McCurdy, their relationship was basically forced only because of working 16-hour days on the set of Sam & Cat. After the show was canceled people were quick to read into their friendship. Jennette McCurdy said "As the show dissolved, everybody wanted to find some sort of hidden meaning in our relationship."
After: Well, technically there really isn't any beef at all, just a lot of rumors. However Jennette McCurdy mentioned "[Ariana] just gave me a book recommendation that I'm almost done with... and then we text probably like once a week to kind of catch up and see what's going on." So yes, they're not AS close, but they still keep contact.
